Main Street Gastropub

The food here is worth the trip! We drove down from Raleigh and were not disappointed. I had the lamb chops, and my husband had the brisket sandwich. Even the broccolini was perfectly prepared! Attention to detail and high quality preparation. Our server was friendly, efficient, and on point. Can I give them 10 stars?

I had the shrimp and grits based on a friends recommendation and it was very good! Would recommend. I did takeout so cannot speak on atmosphere but it is lovely inside.

Hands down the best burger I've ever had. The taco wagyu burger was simply outstanding. The restaurant was clean and the staff was great! The cornbread was sweet and so moist. The signature drinks are perfectly crafted. This was our first time at the Main Street Gastropub, but it will definitely not be the last. Such a great hidden gem in Rocky Mount.

Anytime there's a pork belly dish on the menu, I'm down for giving it a taste try, Main Street Gastropub didn't disappoint me in their offerings! Located downtown in a historic building next to the train tracks the decor was pleasant and the restaurant was spotlessly clean at lunch time. The food was excellent as I had the above-mentioned pork belly with crispy fried sushi rice topped with a Korean BBQ sauce and it was to die for. My wife had Creamy mac and cheese with perfectly seasoned roasted chicken breast (other proteins were available) and it also was tasty. Our waitress was very pleasant and explained the menu choices and the best sellers etc. With two iced teas and two entree's our tab came to 30 dollars and was worth every penny. I'll be back to try the brisket sandwich and a few other menu offering.It's nice to have a local establishment serving great food and good vibes in lieu of the chains like Outback etc. I can't say enough about how much we enjoyed or experience here!

Was in town from NY visiting family and wanted to get a good meal & this place was highly recommended...it lived up to expectations. The atmosphere was chill, the food was very tasty with good flavor, and our server, Marlae, was so pleasant and hospital. I will definitely be coming back on my next trip down...

So to be honest I really wanted to do 4.5 on service and atmosphere so we went with a split!Food: we had the pork belly and wings for apps. Get the Mambo if you like sweet not spicy, we like spice so we will try Buffalo next time. For dinner we got the Smoked Brisket Sandwich and the Wagyu Burger- each with home cut fries...which were awesome!! The brisket was good, slaw was excellent with it. The burger was cooked nicely (med rare for me), a preformed patty but was nice and juicy. All the fixings on the Taco Burger worked well with it! We left nothing on our plates and everything seemed to be done with care and thoughtfulness.The only slight negatives were that when we first entered both staff were on their phones and we stood a good minute before being noticed. However we were one of the first customers in the location for dinner house and after that the service was excellent and the food arrived promptly. We had draft beers with our meal and the pricing was great for all that we ordered.For the atmosphere...the decor and vibe is fantastic! Casual but a great date night option! The only comment here is it was SO quiet- no soft background music, not any sound from one of the TVs, it was a little jarring coming in. However once others came in it was not as noticeable.Overall, this is a great gem in downtown Rocky Mount. We will absolutely recommend it and will be back as well!

What an amazing experience! Late night family dinner due to a busy night. Definitely worth the visit, the atmosphere is amazing and if you’re lucky the train will go past and you will have a perfect view. The appetizers Asian bbq pork belly and honey smoked butter corn muffins, 1st the Asian bbq pork belly was the perfect amount of creamy rice and the savory bbq with a kick send your taste buds on a wild ride, and 2nd the corn muffins were warm and moist perfectly paired with the honey smoked butter corn butter. My husband chose the taco wagyu burger with fries, a delicious burger with some of our favorite toppings was perfection. The youngest got the creamy Mac and cheese good luck getting it from her. The oldest decided on the trout seasoned and cooked perfectly. I chose the brisket bbq sandwich with fries Yall this made my soul so happy! For dessert there are skillet cookies and lemon pound cake sweet and scrumptious. You have to stop and grab a drink or dinner when you’re in the area.

I haven't had a juicy burger in a long time and let me tell you…. This burger was everything the baby and I needed. Peep the bacon and guacamole!!! Finger licking is good!!
